How to Get Your Prescription Through Cortina

Learn how to manage your prescriptions with Cortina, plus guidance on refills and renewals.

At Cortina, our goal is to provide a seamless telehealth experience, helping you receive the medications you need to achieve healthy, glowing skin. Below, we’ll walk you through how prescriptions work on our platform and how to manage them.

Pharmacy Prescriptions

Your dermatology provider may prescribe a medication that can be fulfilled at a pharmacy of your choice. These prescriptions are not purchased through Cortina—you will complete payment and pickup directly with your pharmacy.

  • Your Choice of Pharmacy: Select the pharmacy that’s most convenient for you.
  • Direct Fulfillment: Payment and pickup are handled directly with the pharmacy.

How to Fill Your Pharmacy Prescription:
  1. Log in to your Cortina account.
  2. Navigate to the Consultation + Rx tab in the navigation menu.
  3. Review your prescribed medication listed under the Sent to Local Pharmacy section of your Treatment Plan.
  4. Contact your pharmacy for details on pickup and payment options.

Refills and Renewals
Refills

When you run out of your medication supply, you may be eligible for a refill if your prescription includes them. To request a refill, contact your pharmacy directly.

Renewals

If you have used up all your refills, you’ll need a new prescription.

  • Concierge Members with Consultations Less Than a Year Old: As a Concierge member, you can message your board-certified dermatology provider at any time. Log in to the Cortina app, navigate to the Messaging page, and request a renewal. Your dermatology provider may ask follow-up questions before renewing the medication.
  • Consultations Over a Year Old or Non-Concierge Users: Consultations expire after one year. If it’s been longer than a year—or you’re not a Concierge member—you will need to start a new consultation to have your medication re-prescribed. You can begin a new consultation from the Account Home screen.
